EN – The Francky goes to Pointe-à-Pitre come back with a second release courageously called « plaisir coupable » ! They act as the ambassadors of those who don’t dare to claim their passion for these mocked, unloved music genres to which zouk belongs. Wearing a flowery shirts is not a flaw ! It’s rather a sign of resistance.
After a first urgent and frenetic album released in 2015, those three Caribbean emmissaries (by marriage), based in Indre et Loire (France), present this time a more extensive album. The influences are expanded with more control, displaying a mix of Ivorian Coupé-Décalé and Guadeloupean Collé-Serré like never before, under the sympathetic gaze of the highest noise rock authorities.
Songs made for twerk are more present than ever, those to roll on the floor are no exception. However the band knows how to breath too : the album offers subtle flavours and a delicate balance. Well-kept productions, tweaked compositions, the three Francky are keeping on their ambition to make the musical genres meet : make the rockers dance and the zoukers headbang !
The album was released on the 3rd of April 2018, always on the excellent tropical label based in Pau (France) : A TANT REVER DU ROI.
